Target Audience
Primary Care Physicians, physician assistants, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and other allied healthcare professionals interested in the treatment of asthma.
Goals and Objectives
- Discuss the cardinal features of inflammation and the primary role that inflammation plays in the pathophysiology of asthma.
- Explain the link between inflammation and the severity of asthma.
- Describe the potential added benefits of more direct measure of inflammation in assessing asthma control.
- Identify important therapeutic targets in inflammation of the airways.
