Goals and Objectives
  1. Recognize the tendency of patients to under report shortness of breath and develop proper questioning techniques to elicit a more accurate response.
  2. Recognize and implement the proper performance of spirometry.
  3. Identify why patients with COPD develop shortness of breath.
  4. Describe the types of lung damage caused by smoking.

Target Audience
Primary care physicians, physician assistants, registered nurses, and nurse practitioners interested in the treatment of COPD.
